Rooting Rasmus is a Quest in Villagers & Heroes.

Willoa has heard about the plight of poor drifting Rasmus. She has asked that I help root Rasmus.

Willoa in Lampkin Village in Bevyn's Coille (E2).

Objectives

Find Rasmus in the Dunes of the Dead.
Find Rasmus a second time in the Dunes of the Dead. Try to get him to talk this time.
Find Rasmus a third time in the Dunes of the Dead. Get some answers quickly, be rude if you have to.
Rasmus needs pearls. I'll need to find six Bog Pearls from mud piles in the western river.
Bring the Bog Pearls to Renata so she can make a rooting potion.
Find Rasmus again and give him the rooting potion.

Walkthrough

This is a daily quest, so every day you will have to root him.
You'll need to find Rasmus somewhere in the Dunes of the Dead. He shifts randomly between different locations:
- Rasmus' tent (E4)
- The pier, next to the bounty Driexon (D4).
- Bevyn's Altar, which is at C/D5, very close to bounty Veulur;
- Statue, is at D3/4, a bit north from Rasmus' tent
- Decrepit Ruins, which are at D5, close where the bounty Groxius the Dissector is
- Carcass Tree: around C4
You'll need to find him three times before he tells you what he needs for the Rooting Spell Potion. It will need one of these possible ingredients for the potion:
- 6 Bog Pearls found in Clam Mud on the bank of the river to the west (C4).
- 3 Fiendish Marble Eyes found in Egg Pods in the spider nest on the east side of the zone (G5).
Bring the ingredients to Renata in her camp (E4) and she'll make a Rooting Spell Potion.
Find Rasmus one last time and give him the potion.
Return to Willoa and tell her that you helped Rasmus and get your reward.

Dialogue

Willoa

Willoa: "Do you know of Rasmus? The Dune Drifter? He is in need of... well rooting!"

You "I can help root Rasmus."

Willoa: "How kind of you, <Player Name>! You'll have to find him first, and figure out what ingredients he needs. Good luck!"

Rasmus

Rasmus: "Hello again, <Player Name>!"

You "There you are Rasmus! We need to root you again."

Rasmus: "I don't even realize I am drifting sometimes!"

You "You most certainly are."

Rasmus: "Ah yes, I can feel it now."

Rasmus: "Another drift another dollar... is that how that saying goes?"

You "I need you to focus Rasmus."

Rasmus: "How am I supposed to focus, my mind is constantly drifting, along with the rest of me!"

You "I suppose that is true."

Rasmus: "Here we go--"

Rasmus: "This drifting really gets old you know..."

You "What is the special ingredient for today, QUICK!"

Rasmus: "Based on how I am drifting, how my lips feel, the color of the sky... I think maybe... well perhaps with the wind the way it is..."

You "Quick Rasmus!"

Rasmus: "Pearls! It feels like a pearls day!"

Renata

Renata: "Hello again, <Player Name>!"

You "I'm helping Root Rasmus. Could you make me a rooting potion out of these bog pearls?"

Renata: "I would love to help!"

You received Rooting Spell Potion!
